Job summary

Nourish is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our fast-growing team. As an early member of the engineering group, you’ll own major parts of the backend, shape the platform, and collaborate with product, design, and analytics to deliver impactful features.

You’ll report to the Engineering Manager and drive delivery, scale, and reliability of services across patient, dietitian, and insurance interactions. Remote or NYC-hybrid options are available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Backend focused Software Engineer.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years utilizing TypeScript, Node.js, Prisma, PostgreSQL, AWS.
• Ability to ship independently from idea to implementation.
• Strong collaboration with product and design.

• Design, build, and ship cutting-edge products and features at lightning speed without compromising on quality.
• Drive continuous improvements in our engineering processes, tools, and system to scale both our codebase and team productivity.
• Collaborate with colleagues across product, design, engineering, and analytics to solve challenging and impactful problems in a data-driven experimentation culture.
• Contribute to the estimations, planning and execution of projects, features, and integrations.
• Maintain and elevate our existing codebase by developing, releasing, and maintaining backend services and/or infrastructure.
• Write clean, fully-tested, high-performance code that sets the standard for excellence.
