Job summary

Essen Health Care is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our founding engineering team in New York. You will own end-to-end features across the full stack, shipping improvements, integrations, and infrastructure updates.

You'll work with Python (FastAPI), React/TypeScript, MSSQL, Redis, and Azure, delivering high-quality software in a healthcare context. The role is hybrid with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote, based in the Bronx.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Ability to work across backend and frontend stacks.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, design, debugging, and writing testable code.
• Self-directed with ability to own features end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own features and ship end-to-end delivery.
• Build across full platform including integrations and infrastructure improvements.
• Write tests, review code, and ensure quality in production.
