EvenUp Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Growth engineering pod, building AI-powered customer communication for personal injury law firms. You will own backend design and production, collaborating with Product and Design on evolving specs and bespoke customer requests.

The role emphasizes low-latency, scalable systems with multi-channel support (email, SMS, voice). The position is hybrid, with in-office presence required in Toronto or San Francisco three days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience as an individual contributor.
• Experience shipping production backend systems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Ship backend features and services for EvenUp's Growth pod across multi-channel workflows.
• Own technical decisions from design through production.
• Collaborate with Product and Design on evolving specs and bespoke requests.
• Build for low-latency, high-performance as usage scales.
• Contribute across email, SMS, and voice channel work.
