onX is seeking a Backend Engineer who will contribute to meaningful, real-world outcomes that have a lasting impact for customers and the business.

In this role, you\u2019ll focus on building and scaling the hunt-specific backend services and data layer that power experiences for hunters as part of the Hunt team, supporting onX\u2019s goal of delivering a best-in-class Hunt experience from onboarding through the season.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building and debugging distributed, scalable microservices architectures.
• Proficient in Go and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Strong ownership, mentoring, and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale backend services and data models.
• Own the data layer for new features.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate data and services.
• Write unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
• Provide code reviews and backend coverage.
• Participate in on-call rotations for reliability.
