Job summary

Ontrac Solutions LLC. seeks a Senior Backend Software Engineer to build AI-driven workflows (Go/AWS) for an enterprise asset-and-metadata platform. You will read and extend an existing production codebase, writing scalable services and APIs in Go.

You will own the AI-suggested metadata engine, automated ownership reassignment, and inventory across agents and MCP servers, with strong unit and integration tests and collaborative sprint delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering.
• Go as a working language with scalable backend services and APIs.
• PostgreSQL schema design and real querying.
• MongoDB schema design and real querying.
• AWS services and client libraries knowledge.
• Experience with agentic AI-driven workflows and decision logic.
• Asset discovery/ingestion tooling experience.
• Ability to navigate a large codebase to refactor safely.
• Unit and integration testing as standard practice.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
