Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build enterprise-grade payment applications and global platforms. You will design and deliver backend services, focusing on scalability, reliability, and secure cross-border payments using the Java ecosystem.

You’ll mentor teammates and work with cross-functional teams to ensure design decisions align with strategic goals in a regulated, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software Engineering with a backend focus.
• Experience designing and delivering features in large distributed systems.
• Strong API design and integration skills (REST/gRPC).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise-level payment applications for cross-border use.
• Prototype and implement solutions, mentor the team, and craft scalable backend services.
• Collaborate with product, legal and business teams to align design with goals.
• Own technical delivery for complex features and manage debt reduction.
