MyOme, Inc. is seeking an experienced backend engineer to join the integrations and portals team. You will help patients and providers order testing through the MyOme platform, delivering clarity and health insights from genetics results.

The role requires designing secure, scalable applications and familiarity with healthcare data. Responsibilities include extending backend systems, building robust APIs, authentication/authorization, and contributing to a distributed team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend or platform software development experience.
• 2+ years in healthcare/biotech environments.
• Proficient in Python and Python-based frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Ninja).
• Proven track record of production-grade APIs and web apps.

Responsibilities

• Add functionality to backend systems for customer-facing portals.
• Support partners with reusable, extensible features.
• Develop robust, secure, well-documented APIs.
• Debug and resolve production issues across services and stack levels.
• Leverage AI to plan and implement solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews, design discussions and future work planning.
• Collaborate with a distributed team.
• Balance quick wins with long-term technical sustainability.
