Job summary

Sentient is seeking a senior platform engineer to design, implement, and maintain our fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure. You will build robust back-end services on AWS and GCP, embrace serverless patterns, and deploy scalable AI pipelines for generative models.

Responsibilities include API design (REST/WebSocket), multi-agent frameworks, and end-to-end release processes. You’ll collaborate across teams to ship secure, high-performance features for Sentient's open AI platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience building large-scale apps and infra
• Mastery of Python programming
• Experience with AWS and GCP services (EC2, Lambda, GCE, Cloud Functions)
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS/GKE)
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CDK, or Cloud Deployment Manager
• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, fine-tuning and AI inference
• Strong problem-solving mindset in a fast-paced startup
• Passion for building revolutionary AI products

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain fault-tolerant core infra for the Sentient platform
• Architect and manage performance-critical backend services on AWS and GCP
• Implement serverless architectures and optimize cloud resource usage
• Implement and maintain REST and Websocket APIs for AI applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Design and deploy scalable AI workflows, including fine-tuning and inference pipelines
• Design and implement custom AI agent frameworks and multi-agent systems
• Deploy, test, and follow release management from dev to UAT to production
• Deploy services with security measures (IAM, security groups, encryption)
• Write comprehensive documentation for reproducibility and transparency
