Job summary

Enlighten AI Labs seeks an experienced software engineer to lead the backend and cloud infrastructure for enterprise AI products. You will write code daily alongside a cross-functional team and drive architecture decisions to deliver reliable AI platforms.

You will own APIs, data models, and cloud infrastructure across Google Cloud and AWS, building reusable foundations while ensuring security and quality through tests and reviews.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems at scale.
• 2+ years leading engineers as a manager or technical lead.
• Strong backend and infrastructure skills: Python, FastAPI, and Google Cloud or AWS.
• Full-stack fluency: React and TypeScript.
• Track record of practical architectural decisions for enterprise systems.
• Experience improving engineering delivery, testing, security, and operational quality.
• Clear communication with technical and nontechnical teammates.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery, contribute code daily, and set technical direction.
• Own backend architecture, APIs, database schemas, and cloud infrastructure across Google Cloud and AWS.
• Build reusable foundations and documented patterns for product teams.
• Incorporate AI agents into testing, coordination, and code review with accountability.
• Establish secure, scalable environments with reliable paths from preview to production.
• Mentor engineers, help hire, and drive improvements to tools and standards.
