Job summary

HighLevel, a remote-first platform powering agencies and SMBs, is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer for Industries. You’ll craft backend-heavy features, industry data models, and templates that install and scale from day one.

You will work with core teams to build reusable foundations, mentor peers, and apply AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining quality across vertical solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering with backend focus.
• Strong Node.js/NestJS and TypeScript knowledge.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases at scale.
• Own backend complexity and UI integration.
• Familiar with async workflows, queues and webhooks.
• Willingness to use AI tools to speed up development.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of backend-heavy features powering industry solutions.
• Evaluate API and data-model trade-offs for reliability and scalability.
• Build scalable APIs and business logic using Node.js/NestJS with Firestore, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch and Redis.
• Use GCP services to build reliable, event-driven infrastructure.
• Create integrations with industry systems such as practice management, MLS, dealer management and POS.
• Own the full development lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering quality across the team.
• Collaborate with core platform and product teams to shape extension points.
