Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Backend Engineer to join the Detection Engine Platform.

You will architect and scale core platform services that ingest, process, and route security events across CrowdStrike products, building a resilient, high-performance backend. You will lead cross-team initiatives, mentor engineers, and shape the technical roadmap while leveraging Go, Java, Python, Kafka, and other modern technologies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in one or more modern programming languages (Go preferred).
• Proven track record architecting and delivering highly available, scalable platform services in the cloud.
• Extensive experience with data streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink) and distributed computing concepts.
• Experience in a staff-level role driving multi-quarter initiatives across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of core platform services ingesting and routing security events.
• Drive architecture for the Detection Content Management Platform with CI/CD tooling for content as code.
• Develop scalable microservices using Go, Kubernetes, and related tech.
• Contribute to the Unified Detections Management system for a consistent customer experience.
• Mentor mid-level and senior engineers and coordinate across teams.
