Pindrop is a cybersecurity company delivering continuous identity verification across voice, video, and digital interactions. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Authentication team, you will build scalable, secure backend services powering Passport with Go and Python, and integrate AI/ML signals to strengthen fraud defenses.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of professional software development experience building backend services and APIs.
• Strong experience with Go, Python, or similar languages; solid foundations in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and Linux development.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-native systems in AWS or GCP, including managed services (S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, IAM).
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and production ownership (deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting).
• Nice-to-haves: Redis, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch.
• Experience in authentication, identity, fraud prevention, or security‑sensitive environments.
• Observability tooling and production diagnostics across metrics, logging, tracing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor high-performance backend services and APIs with Go and Python.
• Build and maintain cloud-native services across AWS and GCP for reliability and scale.
• Deliver features through full software lifecycle with CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Address authentication, identity, and fraud prevention challenges with scalable designs.
• Collaborate with Research, MLOps, and Passport teams to productionize AI/ML signals.
• Use observability tools to diagnose issues and improve latency in authentication journeys.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver new capabilities and improve existing ones.
• Participate in on-call rotation and cover after-hours alerts as needed.
• Contribute to documentation and runbooks for platform reliability.
