Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, build, and scale robust APIs and services powering our platform. You will partner with business and product teams to translate concepts into production-ready solutions, balancing performance, reliability, and security.

You will contribute to data pipelines, fraud prevention topics, and compliance initiatives while collaborating across engineering to establish best practices and ownership culture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on web backend development.
• Proven experience delivering production services and reliable APIs.
• Proficiency in backend development; Golang is a significant advantage.
• Data engineering and data pipeline development experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Ruby, TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Google Bigtable, Google Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam, BigQuery, and Python.
• Banking/fintech experience beneficial, especially knowledge of fraud prevention, financial crime, or compliance.
• Customer-centric mindset with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Professional English proficiency for everyday discussions and formal technical documentation.
• Residency in Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurugram, Chennai, Mumbai, or Pune, India.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, efficient, and highly available backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define, architect, and deliver new services from concept through production.
• Build and enhance product features that provide measurable value and support platform growth.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to coordinate development efforts and deliver reliable technical solutions.
• Contribute to large-scale backend systems, internal tooling, and engineering processes, improving performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain clear, user-facing technical documentation for platform services.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and establish engineering standards and ownership culture.
• Apply knowledge of data pipelines, fintech, fraud prevention, and compliance to support platform capabilities.
