Job summary

Goliath Partners Inc. is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and scale core services. You’ll own backend APIs with Python and Django, and contribute to frontend work with React and TypeScript, balancing performance and reliability.

Qualifications

6+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend focus.
Strong hands-on experience in Python and Django for production systems.
Experience building REST APIs, data models, and scalable services with PostgreSQL and AWS.
Working knowledge of frontend tech like React and TypeScript.
Experience with distributed systems, cloud environments, and highly available software.
Ability to drive technical projects from concept through production.
Strong architectural instincts for scalability and reliability.
Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
Own major engineering initiatives from requirements gathering to launch.
Develop integrations with external APIs and third-party systems.
Improve backend architecture, data models, and service patterns.
Collaborate with frontend and mobile engineers to deliver end-to-end experiences.
Investigate performance, scalability, availability, and reliability issues.
Improve testing, observability, monitoring, and production operations.
Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
Lead backend projects ensuring maintainability and code quality.
