Job summary

Talanto is seeking a skilled backend engineer to design, build, and scale RESTful services using Java and Spring Boot. You will shape architectures for distributed systems on AWS and Kubernetes, while mentoring teammates in secure coding and testing practices.

With 3+ years in B2B fintech or SaaS, you’ll deliver reliable, high-performance software and collaborate across product teams in a hybrid Bay Area/West Coast setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend service experience in B2B fintech or SaaS.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs.
• Expertise in microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong SQL knowledge (Postgres, MySQL).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Commitment to performant and reliable systems.
• Degree in CS/Engineering preferred, experience matters.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale RESTful backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Postgres.
• Implement architectures for distributed, resilient systems on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Mentor teams in secure coding practices for performance and security.
