Level AI, a Series C startup, seeks a backend engineer to design and implement scalable services in Python using Django and FastAPI. You will work with real-time systems, REST APIs, and data platforms (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to empower US customers in the EST timezone.

The role emphasizes architecture design, engineering excellence, and close collaboration across teams to deliver high-quality, AI-driven enterprise applications.

Competenze

• Required: Backend experience 3-6 years with Python, Django preferred.
• Experience with FastAPI, MongoDB, real-time or streaming backends, and LLM-backed search/RAG is a plus.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, data management, and REST API design.
• Machine learning experience in NLP context is a plus.
• Able to work in EST Timezone to support US customers.

**Please note: This role requires working in the EST time zone (usually from 8 PM to 4 AM IST) in order to add technical coverage to US customers.**

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech http://B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech from top Engineering institutes with relevant work experience with a top technology company.
• Minimum 3-6 years of backend experience. Experience in at least one higher-level language, preferably Python.
• Experience in Django is highly desirable.
• Experience with FastAPI, MongoDB, real-time or streaming backends, and LLM-backed search/RAG is a plus.
• Good understanding of relational databases, data management, and REST API design.
• Some machine learning experience in the context of NLP would be preferable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Possess an extremely sound understanding of areas in the basic areas of Computer Science such as Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Design, Databases.
• Able to work in EST Timezone in order to add technical coverage to US customers
