Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building Python-based web application backends and the infrastructure on which they run.
• Extensive experience in building scalable back-end systems, APIs, and microservices.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Lead the backend integration of LLM architectures and maintain backend infrastructure powering AI features.
• Architect data pipelines for processing large datasets and develop AI-powered endpoints for our SaaS and VSCode extension.
• Design and develop large-scale graph-based data structures for context feeding to AI applications.
• Lead the development of a comprehensive SQL intelligence ecosystem, including query profiling and AST analysis.

What are we looking for?

We're in search of a Staff Software Engineer who brings a passion for innovation and problem-solving, not limited to traditional coding. This role is for those with deep expertise in server-side languages, database technologies, and cloud infrastructure, excited to design and build the backbone of our AI solutions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our AI capabilities, developing high-performance back-end systems, and integrating advanced AI into data teams' daily workflows.

Qualifications

Required

• 10+ years of experience building Python-based web application backends and the infrastructure on which they run
• Extensive experience in building scalable back-end systems, APIs, and microservices
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Preferred

• Experience with FastAPI for building high-performance APIs
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, particularly in the context of Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including query profiling, optimization, and performance tuning
• Experience with SQL Abstract Syntax Tree (AST) analysis and working with SQL parsers (e.g., sqlglot)
