Job summary

Teambridge in San Francisco is seeking a Senior/Lead Backend Engineer to own backend infrastructure and ship enterprise-scale features. You will be part of an engineering team that values swift delivery, tradeoffs, and ownership across backend and frontend scaffolding when needed.

You will collaborate with product, design, and sales to translate rough requirements into concrete solutions, writing high-quality code for scale and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of backend development experience (Java, Go, Python, Node.js, etc).
• Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with Kotlin or other JVM languages.
• Experience with asynchronous event-based systems (SQS, Kafka, PubSub) is a plus.
• Experience shipping production-grade code and working with AI coding tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently deliver features end-to-end: backend and infrastructure, plus frontend skeleton as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and sales to understand requirements and ship thoughtful solutions.
• Lead tradeoff discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders to remove ambiguity.
• Write high-quality code optimized for extensibility and scale.
• Engage in code reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
• Participate in architecture discussions and reviews to converge on the best design.
• Share knowledge and promote best practices across the team.
• Contribute to Teambridge growth through feedback on product, process, and culture.
• If local to SF Bay Area, in-office three days per week
