Job summary

IBM Software is seeking a Senior Engineer to drive end-to-end backend initiatives for WarpStream, a Kafka-compatible streaming platform built atop object storage. You will architect, build, and operate scalable services across cloud providers while collaborating with a distributed team of engineers.

You will tackle complex distributed systems challenges, contribute to high-uptime operation, and mentor peers as part of a global, remote-first team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, building, and scaling backend systems in production with quality-focused practices.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, C/C++, Python; strong programming and algorithms.
• Deep curiosity for distributed and storage systems.
• Strong delivery, communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience driving operational excellence for large production services.

Responsibilities
