Qualifications

• 5 years of backend experience with Java and Kotlin and distributed/microservices architectures.
• 4 years of experience with RESTful APIs, asynchronous messaging, event-driven systems, relational and NoSQL databases, and data modeling.
• 3 years of experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and containerized environments; CI/CD, automated testing, deployment practices; and security concepts (authn/authz).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale backend systems and APIs that support business-critical applications and services.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of distributed systems, including service-oriented and event-driven architectures.
• Review code and technical designs to ensure quality, reliability, security, and performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and lead root-cause analysis and remediation efforts.
• 20% domestic travel required.
• Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
