Job summary

Brivo in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Devices Cloud Platform. You will design, build, and maintain backend services and platform capabilities to support a global cloud video platform, with ownership of critical systems across distributed regions.

Hands-on Go development and cloud-native platform engineering. You will work on deployment, reliability, observability, and collaboration across teams; help edge device configurations; contribute to architecture and scalable

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of software or cloud engineering with senior ownership of production systems.
• Proficiency in Go with emphasis on concurrency and HTTP services.
• Strong networking and distributed-systems fundamentals using etcd and Redis.
• Experience with containerized CI/CD, observability, automated testing; can read Python/Django and review AI-generated code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and shared platform components.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, testing, automation, and quality.
• Troubleshoot platform, networking, and production reliability across edge and cloud services.
• Collaborate across teams, provide technical guidance, and influence architecture.
