Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Cortex backend team. You will drive backend development for Cortex XSOAR, XDR, and XSIAM, building scalable server-side components and contributing to shared infrastructures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
Experience designing distributed cloud products and microservices.
Proficiency in Python or Go programming languages.

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end backend development of features and core components through the entire lifecycle.
Collaborate across teams to design and integrate effective solutions.
Engage with customers to understand challenges and provide robust technical solutions.
Contribute to team-wide technical and architectural decisions and participate in code/design reviews.
Design, build, and maintain high-scale, distributed server-side applications.
Ensure maintainability and simplicity of code for Cortex infrastructures.
Apply learnings to continuously improve system architecture and development processes.
