Job summary

Reddit is seeking a senior engineer to join the Compliance Engineering team, shaping platform responses to privacy, security, and regulatory changes. You will partner with product, design, and engineering to deliver trusted, compliant experiences for millions of users and own key product areas end-to-end.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor engineers, and raise the bar for processes and delivery in a fully remote environment across the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development experience with multiple parts of the backend stack.
• Experience as a tech lead on projects and teams with 3+ backend engineers.
• Ability to design and implement complex distributed systems under high load.
• Self-directed, innovative, and biased towards action in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional projects preferred.
