Job summary

Casechek, based in Chicago, seeks an experienced Software Engineer to design, build, and improve cloud-based mobile and web products that power the implant supply chain. You will contribute to architecture, translate product goals into reliable software, and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

We value strong TypeScript/Node.js skills, NestJS experience, and a proven track record in AWS-hosted SaaS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Professional experience developing applications with NestJS.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting an AWS-hosted SaaS product.
• Experience building scalable, performant, reliable software solutions.
• Familiarity with relational database technologies, data modeling, and database design.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address complex challenges.
• Attention to detail and commitment to clean, maintainable code.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning of modern technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance mobile and web products that improve the implant supply chain.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy modular cloud-based systems using modern practices.
• Architect technical solutions and translate product goals into deliverables.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to determine best technical approaches.
• Develop responsive, scalable, reliable software solutions.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations for Casechek’s SaaS platform.
• Ensure applications are optimized for performance across web and mobile.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.
• Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and testing practices.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and engineering standards.
• Lead special projects as requested.
