Job summary

Casechek, based out of Chicago's Fulton Market, is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and improve the technology that powers our cloud-based products for the implant supply chain. You will develop scalable solutions and contribute to architecture while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and other teams to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Professional experience developing applications with NestJS.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting an AWS-hosted SaaS product.
• Experience building scalable, performant, and reliable software solutions.
• Familiarity with relational database technologies, data modeling, and database design.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum software development environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to creatively address complex technical challenges.
• Attention to detail and commitment to clean, maintainable, reliable code.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with modern technologies, frameworks, and development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve the technology powering Casechek’s mobile and web products.
• Develop scalable cloud-based solutions and contribute to architecture and design decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and internal teams to deliver solutions meeting customer and business needs.
• Help strengthen development practices, code quality, testing standards, and overall technical capabilities.
