Job summary

Brivo is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer on the Devices Cloud Platform team to design, build, and sustain backend services for a global cloud video platform. You will own critical systems ensuring reliable communication, deployment, and operation across multi-region environments.

The role blends Go development with cloud-native platform engineering, spanning backend services, Kubernetes, networking, and production reliability.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of software/cloud eng experience with senior-level ownership of production systems.
• Go expertise with concurrency and systems programming; production HTTP services.
• Strong networking and distributed-systems fundamentals including SSH, reverse tunneling, security, and state coordination with etcd/Redis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and platform components for customer-facing products.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, testing, automation, and code quality.
• Troubleshoot complex platform, networking, and production reliability issues across device-edge and cloud services.
