Job summary

Verkada Inc. in San Mateo, CA is seeking a senior software engineer to help build cloud-managed access control systems. You’ll work with firmware, backend, and frontend engineers, owning major subsystems and delivering robust, scalable software from idea to production.

We require a BS or higher in CS, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency in Python or Go, plus distributed systems knowledge. The role is onsite five days a week at our San Mateo HQ.

Qualifications

• BS or graduate degree in CS, Math, Engineering, or science.
• 5+ years of industry software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• Experience with scalable distributed systems and agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and own major subsystems for cloud-managed access control.
• Collaborate with firmware, backend, and frontend engineers to deliver robust software.
• Drive ideas to completion with ownership and autonomy.
