Job summary

Verkada is seeking a Software Engineer to join a tight-knit team building cloud-managed access control systems. You will work alongside firmware, backend, and frontend engineers to own the Access Control product line and ship robust, scalable software from our San Mateo HQ.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years Linux development experience, strong C/C++, familiarity with embedded Linux and distributed systems, plus Bash scripting.

Qualifications

• BS or a graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience working on Linux development as a Software Engineer.
• Proficient in C/C++.
• Familiar with Linux servers, Linux device drivers, Linux kernel patches, secure operating systems and security focused programming.
• Preferred experience with embedded Linux.
• Bash scripting experience.
• Experience with Distributed Systems.
• Understanding of HTTP and practical debugging techniques.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.
