Job summary

CSI seeks a Software Engineer III to design, code, test, and debug scalable backend services using TypeScript/Node.js, while modernizing legacy C++ systems for a secure, high-performance online banking platform.

You will lead backend development, define API contracts, and guide migration efforts from legacy to service-oriented architectures, with emphasis on reliability and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with emphasis on backend services.
• Strong proficiency with C++, TypeScript, and Node.js for modern backend systems.
• Experience designing APIs, third-party integrations, and secure scalable architectures.
• Experience modernizing legacy C++ systems and contributing to SOA migrations.
• Experience in online banking, financial tech, or highly integrated enterprise environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of backend development and large project rollouts.
• Modernize existing C++ codebases and integrate with Node.js services.
• Design API contracts and ensure secure, reliable integrations.
• Coach and mentor engineers in backend development, integration practices, and modernization strategies.
