Job summary

ResortPass is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of the ResortPass API and its Rails/Postgres backend. You will own the day‑to‑day technical roadmap, implement production code, guide migrations, and collaborate with staff engineers on architectural decisions.

You will work with backend engineers and product teams to deliver reliable, scalable booking capabilities across channels and categories, evolving a core platform used by millions of guests.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience designing transactional systems and external APIs.
• Strong understanding of relational modeling and distributed failures.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the ResortPass API and backend services.
• Define stable, versioned contracts for live pricing, availability, holds, and bookings.
• Design for idempotency, retries, and reconciliation amid failures.
• Lead architecture for supply, PMS, and POS integrations.
• Ensure inventory discoverability via OpenSearch and observability of critical paths.
