Job summary

DevSavant Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, API-build, and integrate backend services on AWS for a payroll giving platform. You will work with a small team to own components end-to-end, collaborating with product stakeholders and leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

Experience with payroll systems is helpful, but core focus remains API development and AWS integration across Finch, Modern Treasury, and internal services. Strong communication and ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• Senior backend developer with API design and integration experience.
• Strong AWS, Lambda, and CDK experience in production environments.
• Python and/or TypeScript with solid API development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement HTTP APIs connecting third-party services to AWS components.
• Develop integrations for payroll connections and onboarding partners via Finch API.
• Build backend components for financial management and money movement with Modern Treasury.
• Develop and maintain AWS-based services using IaC and AWS CDK.
• Contribute to platform architecture with Well-Architected Framework focusing on reliability, cost.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate coding, reviews, testing, validation.
• Own assigned components from requirements to delivery.
• Collaborate with Product, PM, Partnerships, and tech teams translating needs.
• Ensure maintainability and scalability of platform and integrations.
