Job summary

ZoomInfo Technologies LLC is seeking a senior software engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and customer-facing search interfaces. You will work on REST and GraphQL APIs, and front-end UIs in Angular or React, with a focus on performance, reliability, and observability.

You will own features end-to-end, collaborate across teams, and contribute to production readiness in a distributed system using Kafka, MongoDB, and BigQuery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering and building production systems, with most of that on the backend.
• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript, or a similar backend technology.
• Experience building modern web UIs with Angular and/or React.
• Deep understanding of backend development principles, APIs, services, databases, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience building and operating production applications, including debugging and troubleshooting real-world issues.
• Experience with event-driven systems and messaging technologies, particularly Kafka.
• Experience designing and working with both REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services; GCP experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of scalability, performance, reliability, observability, and system design.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex projects and drive them from design through production.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to investigate complex technical issues independently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to make and explain technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable services and APIs (REST and GraphQL).
• Evolve intent and search features and build new ones.
• Build and improve Angular and React interfaces for search and data actions.
• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve services in production on GKE and Cloud Run.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and other teams to deliver complete solutions.
• Investigate complex production issues and identify root causes.
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Use AI coding tools to write, review, test, and debug code faster.
