Job summary

ZoomInfo is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and scale core backend services. You will primarily work with Node.js to create high-performance systems powering millions of users, while also leveraging Java when needed.

You’ll design scalable microservices, optimize existing architectures, and enable rapid feature development in a blame-free environment. You will mentor engineers, participate in code reviews, and implement monitoring and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of backend development with Node.js and Angular.
• 3+ years designing large-scale distributed systems.
• 2+ years leading projects and technical teams.
• Strong RESTful API and microservices experience.
• Proficiency with MongoDB and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs with Node.js.
• Architect microservices to handle high-volume traffic and complex logic.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and improve quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship features.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of applications.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices, including AI tooling.
• Troubleshoot production issues in distributed systems.
• Contribute to technical architecture and system design decisions.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for backend services.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and AI-assisted development.
