Intermedia Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join the Internal Tools team in Santa Monica. You will help consolidate the internal tools stack, build new platform APIs, and support AI-enabled use cases in a high-performance backend environment.

Ideal candidates have strong Java and Spring Boot experience, and can collaborate across teams to design robust APIs and data models for a unified advertiser management platform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend development experience designing high-performance systems.
• Proficiency in Java; Python/Node.js/Go a plus.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot.
• RESTful API design and implementation knowledge.
• Strong relational DB skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL); NoSQL/BigQuery bonus.
• Distributed systems and microservices understanding.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tooling and integrating LLM APIs is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in Agile teams.
• Degree in CS/Engineering preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend systems.
• Develop APIs, microservices, and server-side components for platform features.
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions for backend systems.
• Model data schemas and optimize queries for system of record.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers on new features.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and optimize performance; refactor for scalability.
• Uphold code quality with testing, reviews, and documentation.
• Explore new tools and frameworks, including AI-assisted tooling.
