Connexity, a Taboola company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer III, Backend for our Internal Tools team. You will help build a new advertiser management platform unifying legacy systems with scalable backend services, APIs, and a robust data model.

The role requires 10+ years in backend development, expert Java and Spring Boot, REST API design, relational databases, and distributed systems experience. This is a hybrid role headquartered in Santa Monica.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Java; Python/Node.js/Go also required.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• Relational DB design and query optimization (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience using AI coding tools in daily workflow.

Responsibilities

• Backend design and implementation of scalable systems.
• Develop APIs, microservices, and server-side components for platform features.
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions for backend systems.
• Design relational schemas and optimize queries as system of record.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers on new features.
• Maintain code quality with testing, reviews, and documentation.
• Evaluate new tools and AI-assisted tooling to improve velocity.
