Qualifications

Strong engineering skills with production-grade software experience.
AI experience with a practical mindset and real-world applicability.
Ability to release prototypes, collect feedback, and iterate quickly.
Proven initiative, ownership, and ability to handle ambiguity.
Collaborative, cross-team communication and problem-solving mindset.
Experience with distributed systems, catalogs and table formats, and query engines.

Responsibilities

Take ownership over and build parts of the database: ingestion, query planning, distributed execution, formats.
Define architecture for multi-tenant SaaS with isolation, quotas, audit logs, and background jobs.
Build APIs for AI agents and internal tools to retrieve data quickly.
Balance fast experimentation with long-term reliability across proto to production.
Instrument services with metrics, logs, traces, alerts and dashboards for observability.
Help shape architecture, storage choices, API contracts, and deployment patterns.
