Job summary

Tensec Holdings Limited is hiring a senior backend engineer in Palo Alto to own agentic infrastructure and the agents that run on top of it. You will shape the context management system and ship workflows that automate critical financial operations, ensuring end-to-end ownership and production quality.

The role requires 5+ years in backend engineering, experience with agentic/LLM-powered workflows, and a strong grasp of APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native patterns.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering with end-to-end production shipping experience.
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems or LLM-powered workflows in production.
• Strong product sense and ability to translate business needs into valuable features.
• Fundamentals in APIs, distributed systems, databases, and cloud-native architecture.
• Comfort in switching between infrastructure thinking and product iteration.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core agentic infrastructure: orchestration, context/session management, policy controls, observability.
• Build, ship, and operate agents automating real financial workflows across operations, compliance, and treasury.
• Ship backend services and APIs to support internal and external customers.
• Decide make vs. buy for third-party components, focusing on reliability and trust.
• Develop evaluation/monitoring to keep agents accurate and safe in a regulated environment.
• Write clean, well-tested, well-documented code and define development practices.
• Monitor production issues and keep systems fast, secure, and reliable.
• Contribute to engineering standards, code reviews, and team growth.
• Stay informed on industry directions and bring back improvements.
