Ramp in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build core accounting and transactional services. You’ll design backend services, data models, and APIs that power the finance workflow across Ramp’s products.You will own substantial projects end-to-end, ensure data correctness and reliability, mentor peers, and collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to deliver trustworthy accounting experiences for customers.

Qualificações

• Experience designing, building, and operating production backend systems, including APIs, data models, and asynchronous workflows.
• Strong system design judgment, especially around data correctness and reliability.
• Track record of independently owning complex projects and shipping high-quality software.
• Ability to investigate problems across services and turn learnings into durable improvements.
• Clear communication and collaboration in technical decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build backend services, APIs, and data models that support accounting workflows across Ramp's products.
• Make financial data accurate, traceable, and resilient as transactions move through coding, reconciliation, and sync.
• Improve reliability and visibility of workflows spanning Ramp and customers' accounting systems.
• Partner with product and engineering to translate finance needs into practical designs.
• Own substantial projects from design through launch, monitoring, and iteration.
• Raise the engineering bar via code reviews and mentorship.
