Ladders is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. You’ll focus on building and scaling backend systems that turn ambiguous ideas into customer-facing products, collaborating with product, ML, and infrastructure teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Python backend experience, strong distributed systems know-how, and familiarity with data-heavy platforms on AWS. Remote-US based, visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.

This role will focus on building and scaling backend systems that turn ambiguous ideas into customer-facing products. You will partner closely with product, ML, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable services, flexible architectures, and data-driven features in a fast-moving environment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Python backend expertise, experience with distributed systems, and familiarity with data-heavy platforms on AWS. Frontend exposure with React and interest in agentic or LLM-powered systems will help you contribute across the stack when needed.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $160,000 annually

• Frontend experience with React, ideally with knowledge of agentic or LLM-powered systems.
