Netris is seeking a hands-on backend architecture leader to own the Netris Controller, the orchestration backend for AI cloud networking. You will translate product requirements into scalable designs, write design documents, and review code against your architecture.

This role focuses on backend architecture, data models, API contracts, and event flows, guiding engineers to build a scalable, production-ready system in a fast-growing Santa Clara setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Hands-on experience turning high-level requirements into concrete designs.
• Experience with infrastructure-state management systems.
• Proven ability to document architectures clearly for engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own backend architecture, API contracts, data models, and event flows.
• Define the abstraction model mapping to multi-vendor fabrics.
• Scale the backend by orders of magnitude and identify rebuild needs.
• Lead design reviews, write architecture documents, and set engineering standards.
