Job summary

Mesirow Financial is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build and modernize backend services for Investment Management apps. You will apply cloud-native patterns, AI-assisted coding, and DevOps to deliver scalable, secure software.

You will lead architecture decisions and mentor junior developers while integrating market data and third-party platforms. Required is 7+ years in C#/.NET, RESTful APIs, Azure, SQL Server and CI/CD with Docker and IaC.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend experience with C# and .NET.
• Strong RESTful API development experience.
• Azure cloud design, deployment, and ops experience.
• Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL skills.
• Experience with EF and/or Dapper.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend components of Investment Management apps.
• Drive modernization, reduce debt, and migrate workloads to cloud-native Azure services.
• Promote automated testing, secure coding, CI/CD, observability and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Lead architecture with microservice patterns where appropriate.
• Enhance release automation and infrastructure-as-code, including production support.
