Job summary

Mesh Pay is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams across North America, Europe, and India to build secure crypto-first payment infrastructure.

We value a security-first mindset, strong REST/microservices experience, and proficiency with cloud platforms like Azure. Experience in fintech/crypto is a plus, and you will work in a hybrid model with in-office expectations

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience as a backend software engineer in fintech/crypto is preferred.
• Proficient in backend languages such as C#, Java, Scala, Go, etc.
• Security-focused with knowledge of AuthN/AuthZ, SAML, API security, encryption.
• Understanding of crypto concepts: blockchains, RPCs, self-custody wallets.
• Strong RESTful API design and microservices architecture knowledge.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with Azure cloud deployments for scalability.
• Test, debug, and resolve software defects promptly.
• Contribute to code reviews and system design decisions.
• Write high-quality, efficient, reliable code following best practices.
• Optimize performance and scalability of backend systems for large data volumes.
