Job summary

Truelogic Software LLC is seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer/MLOps to join a Marketplace team blending full-stack engineering with machine learning operations. You will build and maintain backend systems powering search, ranking, and matching while supporting ML pipelines and real-time data infrastructure.

Collaborate with data scientists and engineers across time zones to bring ML into production reliably and at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend or full-stack focus.
• Strong backend skills in Go, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps or production ML systems (Vertex AI, MLflow, Kubeflow).
• Experience with feature stores (e.g., Chalk) for ML features.
• Strong SQL skills and data/feature pipelines.
• Cloud experience across GCP/AWS/Azure, with GCP preferred.
• Solid ML concepts and model deployment knowledge.
• Strong debugging, ownership mindset and clear communication.
• Ability to collaborate across time zones with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with search/ranking/recommendation systems or real-time/latency optimization.
• Experience in online marketplaces and AI-assisted tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer/MLOps to join a Marketplace team working at the intersection of full-stack product engineering and machine learning operations. In this role, you'll help build and maintain the backend systems that power search, ranking, and matching experiences, while also supporting ML pipelines, model deployment, feature stores, and real-time data infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with data scientists, product partners, and engineers to bring machine learning capabilities into production reliably and at scale. This is a blended role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex backend and infrastructure challenges while contributing to product features.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack features across marketplace products, including search, ranking, and user-facing experiences.

• Develop and support ML Ops infrastructure, including model deployment pipelines, feature stores, real-time data pipelines, and monitoring.

• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to bring machine learning models into production reliably and at scale.

• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and actively participate in code reviews.

• Contribute to technical planning and break down complex problems into well-scoped, executable tasks.

• Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues across existing systems.

• Work with data and feature pipelines, SQL, and experimentation/A/B testing frameworks.

• Communicate progress clearly, surface blockers early, and collaborate effectively with distributed teams across time zones.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong backend or full-stack development experience.

• Strong backend development skills and proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Hands-on experience with MLOps or production machine learning systems, including tools such as Vertex AI, MLflow, Kubeflow, or equivalent.

• Experience with feature stores, ideally Chalk or a comparable technology.

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with data and feature pipelines.

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure, with GCP preferred.

• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts and model deployment.

• Strong debugging skills, ownership mindset, and excellent communication.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and colleagues across different time zones.

• Experience with search, ranking, recommendation systems, real-time systems, or performance/latency optimization is a strong plus.

• Experience in online marketplaces, mentoring engineers, frontend development, A/B testing, or AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
