Job summary

Truelogic seeks an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a small, highly collaborative team building a modern legal-industry application. You will design, develop, and deploy features across frontend and backend, collaborating with clients and stakeholders.

Must have strong TypeScript expertise, experience with Svelte/SvelteKit or React, Node.js, REST APIs, SQL databases, and AWS. AI tools experience is highly valued, with a forward-thinking approach to AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript and complex type definitions.
• Strong experience with server-side TypeScript and Node.js, RESTful APIs.
• Experience with a modern frontend framework (Svelte/SvelteKit, React, Next.js).
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, migrations and optimization.
• Strong CI/CD and Docker-based development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of complex features across frontend and backend.
• Build scalable applications using TypeScript on client and server.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and server-side apps with Node.js and modern TS frameworks.
• Create modern responsive UIs with Svelte/SvelteKit or similar.
• Design and maintain relational schemas, migrations, and queries for performance.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a small, highly collaborative team building a modern application for the legal industry. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with legal professionals and client stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy complex features across the frontend and backend.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in TypeScript, modern frontend frameworks, Node.js, REST APIs, relational databases, and cloud technologies, with experience building scalable, maintainable applications end-to-end. Experience with Svelte/SvelteKit and AWS serverless technologies is strongly preferred. The role also requires a forward-thinking approach to AI-assisted software development, including practical experience with AI coding tools and an understanding of their capabilities, limitations, and impact on the engineering profession.

This is a highly collaborative, client-facing role with regular client demos and direct involvement in technical and architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex features across both frontend and backend systems.
• Build scalable, maintainable applications using TypeScript across the client and server.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and server-side applications using Node.js and modern TypeScript frameworks.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces using frameworks such as Svelte/SvelteKit or comparable technologies.
• Design and maintain relational database schemas, migrations, and queries with a focus on performance and data integrity.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design decisions, and the establishment of engineering standards and best practices.
• Develop automated tests and contribute to code quality and testing strategies across the application.
• Build and maintain CI/CD workflows and use Docker to support consistent local and development environments.
• Work with AWS cloud services and serverless architectures to deploy and operate production applications.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies that can improve engineering productivity and product quality.
• Actively leverage AI-assisted development tools for planning, coding, testing, debugging, and other engineering workflows while applying appropriate judgment around their limitations.
• Collaborate directly with clients through regular meetings, technical discussions, and product demonstrations.
• Participate in daily standups and bi-weekly sprint cycles within a small, autonomous engineering team.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript, including advanced language features and complex type definitions.
• Strong experience with server-side TypeScript and Node.js, including developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong experience with a modern frontend framework such as Svelte, SvelteKit, React, Next.js, or similar.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, including database schema design, migrations, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of software testing, code quality, and maintainable development practices.
• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based development workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience deploying or supporting cloud-based applications.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work directly with clients and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a small, collaborative engineering team.
• Demonstrated practical experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
• Ability to clearly articulate the current capabilities and limitations of AI tools in software engineering, including considerations around accuracy, security, reliability, and responsible use.
