Maximus is seeking a Senior Back-End Developer to join our team! The Senior Back-End Developer provides subject matter proficiency for work described in the task. Responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties. Requires expertise in the specialty area.

Position Details:

• This position is contingent upon award of the contract.
• Remote work is possible, with occasional paid travel to San Antonio, TX, or Baltimore, MD.
• Internal Job Profile Code: TCS203, T5, Band 8.

Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering tasks for back-end design and development, including architecture, RESTful API development, database management, and data modeling.

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• 10+ years in software development.
• Experience with object-oriented and scripting languages, DevSecOps tools, microservices, and containers.
• 5+ years in back-end web design and development.
• Experience with system testing, relational databases, RESTful APIs, and system integration.
• Experience with web frameworks like Node.js, Django, Angular.
• 5+ years with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web applications.
• Leadership experience in software development projects.
• Practical experience in cloud environments.
• Experience with Agile development.

Certifications:

• PostgreSQL or equivalent relational database certification.

Desired Qualifications:

• SAFe SA certification.
• Experience with Agile TDD and DoD DevSecOps environments.

Compensation: Salary range from $145,000 to $170,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
