Maximus: Senior Back-End Developer

Maximus is seeking a Senior Back-End Developer to join our team. The role involves providing subject matter expertise, supporting process improvements, conducting specialized studies, and defining requirements. Responsibilities include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, and developing procedures and architectures. Expertise in the specialty area is required.

This position is contingent upon contract award. It can be performed remotely, with occasional paid travel to client locations in San Antonio, Texas, or Baltimore, Maryland.

Job Profile: Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Code: TCS203, T5, Band 8

The candidate will perform engineering tasks related to back-end design and development, including architecture development, RESTful API creation, database management, and data model optimization.

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience
• 10+ years of software development experience
• 10+ years in object-oriented and scripted languages, with experience in DevSecOps, microservices, and containers
• 5+ years in back-end web design and development
• Experience in system testing, documentation, and verification
• Proficiency with relational databases, RESTful APIs, and system integrations
• Experience with web frameworks such as Node.js, Django, Angular
• 5+ years with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira)
• 5+ years testing web applications
• 5+ years leading software development projects
• Practical experience in cloud environments
• Experience working in Agile development environments

Required Certifications:

• PostgreSQL (or alternative relational database) Certification

Desired Qualifications:

• SAFe SA certification
• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments
