Green Dot Corporation seeks a Lead Software Engineer to rearchitect its Banking as a Service platform using cloud-native approaches. Build a scalable payments platform and advance CI/CD, cloud migration, and test-driven development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• Six years of experience as a Principal Engineer, Software Engineer, or related role.
• Strong portfolio showing secure, standards-compliant code across Microsoft stack and open-source tech.
• Experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
• Cloud-native design and hosting in Azure or AWS, including APIM, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Key Vault.
• RESTful APIs, OAuth2, OpenAPI; SOAP/XML/JSON representations.
• Microservices architecture, event-driven patterns (Service Bus, Event Hubs).
• DevOps & delivery: Git/GitHub, CI/CD, TeamCity, blue-green deployments.
• Observability: Datadog, Grafana.
• Agile development: Scrum, XP.
• Security & compliance: PCI DSS, SOC 2.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and development of APIs and microservices for BaaS onboarding and partner integration.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, mentoring, and best practices in CI/CD and testing.
• Ensure compliance with SLA standards and contribute to monitoring and alerting systems.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis to improve system reliability.
• Drive architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy for the BaaS platform and document options/decisions.
• Champion emerging technologies evaluation and adoption.
• Refactor and extend the existing codebase to fix defects and add features; enable configurability over customization.
