Job summary

Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our BaaS team in a structured hybrid role. You will design APIs and microservices to onboard partners, aligning with product and architecture teams to deliver scalable, secure financial services.

You will work across CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and incident response, while championing best practices in security and compliance. This role demands leadership experience and deep hands-on API and cloud proficiency.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience.
At least 1 year in a technical leadership role.
Strong track record building secure, scalable BaaS platforms.
Proficient in RESTful API design, OAuth2 and OpenAPI specs.
Experience with cloud platforms and container technologies.
Familiar with observability and monitoring practices.
Knowledge of PCI DSS and SOC 2 compliance.

Responsibilities

Design and develop APIs and microservices for BaaS onboarding and partner integration.
Collaborate with product managers, architects and teams to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Support CI/CD, testing and observability through code reviews and best practices.
Ensure SLA compliance and contribute to monitoring and alerting systems.
Contribute to incident response and root cause analysis.
Draft architecture and design documentation for option analysis and decisions.
Evaluate emerging technologies and adoption paths.
Refactor and extend the codebase to fix defects and add features.
Develop systems that are durable and configurable to support change.
