Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an Events Manager to plan and deliver B2B events, including conferences, customer learning, and executive gatherings. You will lead guest experience, front-of-house operations, and vendor coordination for a cohesive, on-brand program.

You will partner with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to align audiences and goals, manage budgets, and ensure safe, high-quality event experiences across venues in San Francisco or New York City.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of event experience covering planning, onsite delivery and post-event evaluation.
• Strong background in B2B conferences, customer programs, or learning and enablement events.
• Ability to manage guest experience, front-of-house operations, and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Deliver B2B events from planning through onsite execution, coordinating agencies, registration, hospitality, and production logistics.
• Build and maintain project schedules with milestones, owners, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Negotiate with venues, caterers, AV providers, and production partners with procurement/legal alignment.
• Own registration, check-in, and guest communications with Marketing, including pre- and post-event outreach.
• Track budgets, process invoices, and produce financial reconciliation and reporting.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Marketing, Field Marketing, Sales, and Product Marketing on audiences and content needs.
• Coordinate with Design and Production for on-brand experiences; ensure safety and accessible operations.
• Review attendance and feedback, measure outcomes, and share findings to improve future programs.
