Job summary
Veritis Group Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to architect, implement, and operate complex VDI environments. You will own gold image architecture and testing, and lead automation workflows for image provisioning and deployment pipelines.
You will design host pools, session hosts, and image lifecycles, optimize performance and costs, and establish governance. Collaboration with Network teammates on ExpressRoute/VPN and hybrid connectivity is essential,
Qualifications
- Experience architecting and operating Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
- Experience with FSLogix profile management and optimization.
- Proficiency with Intune and Autopilot integration.
- Strong automation skills using PowerShell and Azure services.
- Ability to design scalable, resilient desktop infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
- Design and manage host pools, session hosts, and image lifecycles.
- Develop scalability, resiliency, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Optimize user experience and Azure consumption costs.
- Establish platform governance and operational standards.
- Troubleshoot AVD network connectivity across Azure and on-prem.
- Serve as escalation point for network-related VD issues.
- Partner on ExpressRoute, VPN, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Lead design and engineering of Windows 11 desktop platform.
- Own gold image architecture and release processes.
